If you were to ask Dr. Raghu why he chose to come back to Kentucky, and why he chose to come back to Maysville, he would say one thing: "Kentucky is home. That's it." Over the course of his career, Dr. Raghu has been stationed at many different locations doing many different things but his heart has always been in Maysville. His passion is for the people of Maysville and the surrounding areas. Dr. Raghu returned to Maysville because he knew there was a need for cardiology. Out of all the places his career took him, Maysville was the place where he felt his purpose in life was met. He wanted to help others, and to help get them back to where they needed to be health wise.
Because of this, Heart Smart PLC has dedicated themselves to ensuring only the best care for their patients. Located in an under-served area, Heart Smart strives for excellency. They move as a team, putting their patients above all else. With staff from the surrounding areas, they are privy to the needs of their patients and the situations they face, as they themselves may be experiencing them as well. The staffing at Heart Smart PLC is also very telling: 50% of the current staff were employed by Dr. Raghu in the past, some coming out of retirement to work in conjunction with him again. Heart Smart PLC has one goal: to serve the needs of the community- to change the lives of everyone they come into contact with.
